Perception Analysis

Objective Observation: Describe what you see in the photograph. How many people? What is going on? Examine foreground and background. Avoid personal feelings and interpretations. Look for unusual details.







Subjective Observation: Describe your personal feelings, associations, and judgments about the image. Anchor your comments in something that is seen. For example, "I see...and it makes me think of ..."







Knowledge: What do you know based on your own experience, study, or intuition?





Deduction: Put yourself in the photo and describe what would you hear and smell, and what you are feeling. Stretch the frame of the photo and add what might also be seen if the photographer did a panoramic view.
